What skill would you like to learn?
Ever since I was a little girl, when I used to mess around with the piano at my aunt and uncles house, I have always wanted to learn to play the piano properly. They would show me where middle C was on the keyboard and from there I would play chopsticks or Frere Jacques, and even Twinkle twinkle little star. I grew up married, moved away and lived abroad, never getting an opportunity to return until when I did they had sold their piano and moved into elderly sheltered accommodation. From time to time I would reminisce of those childhood years but never took it any further. If only I could afford to, I would have piano lessons this late in life. However, I am once again rewarded by watching my dear friend’s granddaughter play her keyboard when I visit overseas and have pleasure in watching her nimble fingers move over the keyboard. I do hope she perseveres with her lessons.
