Whoever it was that first uttered the words “Silence is Golden”, got it totally wrong!

Silence is noisy, especially when heard through the heart

Silence is like a set of saucepans crashing somewhere in the dark

Silence speaks volumes

As it shouts across the sea

I never thought to hear it

Especially with you and me

The reason for the silence

So very hard to tell

I just hope it’s nothing serious and you know I wish you well

Just to see “good morning “

Or even a “good night”

Then I would know that all is well with you

And life is treating you “right”
