Admiral Sir George Cockburn

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

This is so easy.  My illustrious ancestor, Admiral Sir George Cockburn.  The reason?  Not just because he  isn’t the inside of the White House in 1812 but he escorted Napoleon to St. Helena

I would love to have been a fly on the wall at both events and talk about it with him

      Thank you. Yes we do. There is a street in Edinburgh named after Sir Henry Cockburn and Tirreni Cockburn wrote the famous bag ipe music “The Flower of The Fields”.

    Oh we were in Edinburgh this year in May. Had I known this earlier, we would have surely visited this street.
